2011 Silver Eagle 25th Anniversary Set Early Releases NGC MS70/PF70. Authorized NGC & PCGS Dealer. The United States Mint released the 25th Anniversary American Silver Eagle Set to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Silver Eagle. The set was limited a production of 100,000 sets and includes two coins that were exclusive to the set. The set includes five Silver Eagles with different finishes and/or mint marks. The two coins unique to this set and not offered individually giving them an extremely low mintage. The 2011-P Reverse Proof Silver Eagle was struck at the Philadelphia Mint and the 2011-S Uncirculated Silver Eagle was struck at the San Francisco Mint and carried the S mint mark.

The American Silver Eagle is the official silver bullion coin of the United States first released November 24, 1986. American Silver eagles are only struck in the one-troy ounce size, which has a face value of one dollar and is guaranteed to contain one troy ounce of 99.9% pure silver.
The Silver American Eagle coins were minted at the San Francisco Mint from 1986 - 1992. From 1993 - 2000 the coins were minted in the Philadelphia Mint. In 2001 the Silver Eagle production moved to West Point where the minting is still done today. Weinman designed the obverse known as The Walking Liberty and John Mercanti designed the reverse.
