With an impressive wingspan that can reach nearly 9 feet wide, the Wedge-Tailed Eagle is Australia's largest bird of prey and also one of the largest eagles in the world! In 2014, Australia's world renowned Perth Mint teamed up with the world renowned coin designer John Mercanti to create the iconic and wildly popular Silver Wedge Tailed Eagle Series!

Each coin issued is legal tender of Australia and is struck from. Known for low mintages, Mercanti's brilliant designs and the Perth Mint's exceptional production quality, The Australian Silver Wedge-Tailed Eagle has quickly become one of the most popular, most collected coins in the world! In 2019 the Perth Mint issued the 2nd coin in a 6 year series of Wedge-Tailed Eagles that feature new, one year only reverse designs. This years reverse features a close up view of an eagle as it appears to be swooping down on it's prey along with the inscriptions "AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE" and "2019 1OZ 9999 SILVER". The obverse design, like years past, depicts an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.

Each coin is struck at the Perth Mint and has a limited mintage of just 50,000 coins! In addition the label has been hand signed by the designer John Mercanti!
