Obverse: On the obverse is the iconic Walking Liberty design of Adolph Weinman. Originally appearing on the half dollar in 1916, the image features an American flag draped Liberty carrying laurel and oak branches as the morning sun emerges from beyond the horizon. The central figure's name, "LIBERTY, " joints the national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST, " and the date, "2021, " among the obverse inscriptions. Adolph Weinman is best known to collectors for designing the Walking Liberty Half Dollar and the Mercury Dime.
He also sculpted numerous works that can still be seen prominently displayed in several American cities. Reverse: The reverse design was modeled off of the Great Seal of the United States by John Mercanti. Thirteen stars, symbols of the original states, are arranged in a triangular formation above an eagle, which protects a union shield.
