This is the 2021S Mint Emergency Production Silver Eagle First Day of Release. Silver Bullion coins are normally produced that the West Point Mint, but because demand for the coins continued to be high the US Mint said, In an effort to meet demand, the San Francisco Mint was used to augment American Silver Eagle Bullion production. This will be a very small subset of the Silver Eagles Bullion coins that are made each year by the US Mint. This coin is graded NGC a perfect MS70, with the exclusive First Day of Release designation, designated "Emergency Production", and placed in an exclusive flag core holder. The US Mint announced it will release two versions of the Silver Eagle in 2021.The first is this coin called the Heraldic Eagle or Type 1. The second will be Type 2. Additionally, these coins are graded First Day of. Which is same designation as First Day of Issue except it is exclusive to me. This makes this coin even rare as only a tiny fraction of coins will be certified First Day!!!
