Obverse: Adolph Weinman's Walking Liberty retains its place on the obverse, where it has been since the series began. The morning sun begins to rise on Liberty, who is draped in the American flag and carrying branches. Obverse inscriptions include her name, "LIBERTY, " the date, "2023, " and the national motto, IN GOD WE TRUST. Adolph Weinman was a sculptor who immigrated from Germany. He played a central role in the nation's early 20th century numismatic renaissance.

Reverse: On the reverse is an eagle preparing to land with an oak branch in tow. The image was designed by Emily Damstra and is encircled by rim inscriptions, which read, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, " "ONE DOLLAR, " and 1 OZ. " The motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM is inscribed on this face.

Emily Damstra has an MFA in science illustration from the University of Michigan. She specializes on images of plants and animals. This coin earned Numismatic Guaranty Company's (NGC's) highest grade, Proof 70 (PF 70). That grade means that it appears flawless even under 5x magnification. This specimen was also certified Ultra Cameo (UC) and First Releases (FR). The former means that it exhibits particularly sharp contrasts between deeply mirrored fields and heavily frosted devices, while the latter indicates that it was submitted for grading no more than 30 days after its initial release from the mint.
